BERLIN, Feb. 7 (Xinhua) -- A fire on a luxury hotel in downtown Berlin on Wednesday has been brought under control, local fire police said on its social media account.
The fire started from the sauna room at a higher level of the hotel near noon, leading to an evacuation of the whole building, according to the police.
No injury has been reported, but nearby traffic is affected, said the police, who added that cleanup work is going on.
The hotel is located in the city's famous tourist site Potsdamer Platz.
