BEIJING, Oct. 26 (Xinhua) -- Congratulations began pouring in from around the world as Chinese President Xi Jinping was re-elected general secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Wednesday.

In their messages, leaders of foreign countries, political parties and organizations expressed their confidence that the CPC will guide China toward greater prosperity and a larger role internationally under Xi's leadership.
